Lisa keeps moving forward. Alone, but never really alone, because Patti is here. Together, they raise Nic with a simple and beautiful conviction: his disability does not define what he is capable of accomplishing.
Twenty-seven years later, his words do everything
Nic is now a 27-year-old. He has pursued higher education. And when he talks about his mother, his words are those:
“My mom Lisa is the most precious thing I have in my life. She gave me life, she gave me her love, and she is always wonderful. »*

It is difficult to remain insensitive to such a statement. Patti, on the other hand, summarizes their story with a luminous sentence: *“After all these years, they have overcome obstacles and share immense love. »*
Lisa was judged before she even had the chance to show which mother she would be. The answer is Nic who gives it, every day, simply by existing by his side.
A person never boils down to what others decide to see in them.
